GP42 (Proposed Draft)—Collection of Capillary Blood Specimens. This standard provides procedures for collection of capillary blood specimens. Specifications for collection sites, puncture depth, and disposable devices used to collect, process, and transfer capillary blood specimens are also included. This draft document is available to the public for review and comment for 60 days (25 July to 23 September 2019).
POCT14 (Proposed Draft)—Point-of-Care Coagulation Testing and Anticoagulation Monitoring. This guideline provides recommendations to users and manufacturers of point-of-care coagulation testing devices for monitoring heparin and vitamin K antagonist therapy and for the evaluation of hemostasis, as well as to ensure reliable results comparable with those obtained by routine medical laboratory testing. This draft document is available to the public for review and comment for 60 days (25 July to 23 September 2019).
VET03 (Proposed Draft)—Methods for Antimicrobial Broth Dilution and Disk Diffusion Susceptibility Testing of Bacteria Isolated From Aquatic Animals. This guideline provides the most up-to-date techniques for the determination of minimal inhibitory concentrations and zones of inhibition of aquatic bacteria and criteria for data interpretation and quality control testing. This draft document is available to the public for review and comment for 60 days (29 July to 31 September 2019).
VET04S (Supplement vote)—Performance Standards for Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing of Bacteria Isolated From Aquatic Animals. This document includes updated tables for the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute veterinary antimicrobial susceptibility testing guideline VET03. This draft document is available to the public for review and comment for 60 days (29 July to 31 September 2019).
The review and comment period provides an opportunity for the public to offer input on CLSI draft consensus documents. At the end of the 60-day review and comment period, the committee that developed the document is required to review and provide responses to all comments received and revise the draft document as appropriate.
Please note CLSI draft documents are available only for the purposes of review and comment and are not to be reproduced or circulated for any other reason. Draft documents have not completed the consensus review process and therefore shall not be used for any clinical purposes or to satisfy regulatory or accreditation requirements. They should not be considered either final or published and may not be quoted or referenced.
