Medical Laboratory Professionals Week originated in 1975 as National Medical Laboratory Week, or NMLW, under the backing of the American Society for Medical Technology, now the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS). In the years that followed, other organizations, including CLSI, served as cosponsors and campaign supporters. There are now 18 laboratory medicine organizations responsible for coordinating Lab Week.
Lab Week’s theme is “Laboratory Professionals Get Results.” You can join CLSI in celebrating Medical Laboratory Professionals Week 2018 by visiting our Lab Week 2018 page and participating in fun activities like our microbiology crossword puzzle. While you’re there, enter contests to win lunch for your lab or an Amazon gift card.
